Travel by Train - Hunter Line
You can bring your bike on the train on the Hunter Line and have a great day bike riding in the Dungog Shire.

Dungog has a railway station that is on the Sydney Trains network. There are several trains a day to Dungog via the Hunter Line, from Sydney and Newcastle.

The XPT Country train also stops at Dungog.

Travel by Road
From Sydney (2 – 3 hours)
Travel North up the up the M1 Freeway (was previously named F3). At the end of the Freeway there are several roundabouts. Drive straight ahead until you reach the New England Highway. Turn Right onto the New England Highway and follow the signs to Raymond Terrace (you will turn Left and go over the river at the Hexham Bridge). Continue North on the Pacific Hwy and turn Left at the first roundabout into Raymond Terrace. Continue on this road through two sets of traffic lights and then turn Left at McDonalds toward Clarence Town. Follow this road through Seaham and Clarence Town (watch out for Kangaroos!) and you will arrive at Dungog from the South. Make your way to the Dungog Showground.
Heading down from the North
Travel South down the Pacific Highway until you reach the roundabout at Raymond Terrace. Turn Right into Raymond Terrace. Continue on this road through two sets of traffic lights and then turn Left at McDonalds toward Clarence Town. Follow this road through Seaham and Clarence Town and you will arrive at Dungog from the South. Make your way to the Dungog Showground.
Heading in from the West
Head East down the New England Highway to Maitland. Turn Left at the first roundabout at Maitland into Maitland town proper. Follow the road to Lorn by turning Left at the the first set of traffic lights (crossing the Hunter River). Follow this road through Bolwarra, up the hill and turn right at the Shell service station toward Clarence Town. Follow this road over Woodville bridge and on through Seaham and Clarence Town and you will arrive at Dungog from the South.
Travel by Air
Yes, we’re also easily accessed via Newcastle Airport. Car rental is available at the airport and we’re less then an hour from the airport
